But I feel I can say that about most indie games I play. This game won’t be winning any awards for how it looks. They are short fights, but the game expects a lot from you during them. The boss fights in the game can be very intense. I had to slow down and clear each enemy one at a time and sometimes backtrack to gain space.Īlso, the first time you fight a new boss, don't be surprised if you die. Try to rush and get into the center of things, and everybody will shoot you so quickly you probably will end up dead. So if you get shot a lot, you die before you get to react. There are no invincibility frames in the game. Your character does not have a recovery period. I like that each character has different special abilities, and they all have special upgrades as well. Another character can throw guns and swords. One character has a special ability that lets you shoot two shots at once. They all favor different play styles, and it is fun to play them all. You get right into the action and will most likely die many times before you learn what is going on. But you only get to choose one new mutation at each level. Your character does gather experience to level up, though. The only items in the game are new weapons for you to use. The Game Is Quite SimpleĮvery item is unlocked at the start of the game. The goal is to beat all the levels in one life and defeat the final boss. I played the game for a few days to familiarize myself with how things worked.
